Saugus Speedway (Open Air Market)Originally built in 1927 as a rodeo arena, evolving into an auto racing venue from 1959 - 1995, the Saugus Speedway, Santa Clarita’s largest Special Event Venue, is still home to one of Southern California’s largest and oldest Sunday open air marketplaces (in operation since 1962). The Santa Clarita Open Air Market, also known as Saugus Swap Meet, features over 400 vendors, with thousands of value priced items, fresh baked food and snacks, as well as live entertainment from some of L.A.’s hottest bands. The Santa Clarita Open Air Market runs every Sunday from 7am – 3pm, with admission of just $1.50 per person. Also open every Tuesday (7am-1pm) is a smaller Flea Market featuring over 100 vendors specializing in collectibles and antiques.
